I’ve been extra tired late at night lately. Its funny, because I have been eating more fruit than ever, at least 5 servings or so a day. Isn’t that supposed to help? On top of that, I’ve been getting good hours as far as sleep is concerned. I’ve always had good sleep, even if my patterns are a little crazy.
What has changed is the amount of work I am putting in. I am putting in at least 10 hours a day sitting behind a computer screen, or ordering things, or other business stuff. This new campaign for business is taking a lot more work than I expected, but I expect a good turnout from it.
I am too tired to work out tonight too. It just kind of hit me like a wall which is weird because Im usually wired and rearing to go.
What do you think I might be doing wrong? Or is it just my age catching up with me and I cant stay up past midnight/1am anymore? Whatever it is, I need to fix it.
Oh by the way, I’m down 2lbs this week and its not even over yet! Actually its more like 1.7lbs but its still progress!
I’ll write more when I’m not so sleepy. Til then keep shredding.

I think I might have aggravated something in my back today. I was feeling a little twinge in my mid back, which only got worse when I was outside digging a trench around the property.
Oh yes, the house decided to go for a record and leak from all sides. We have to reseal the outside wall to keep water from coming in. Not much we can do about the roof since I’m afraid if heights and I wouldn’t be able to assist with anything.
But I digress.
No workout tonight, but I want to continue to be consistent. Hope this week is a lot better, I have to get the camera fixed. It wont snap pictures at all now.

Ahh, who would have thought there would come a day when I would enjoy being sore? Well that day is today.
For the past 2 nights I have been working out in the livingroom, getting my sweat on to Billy Blanks Bootcamp workout. I will be the first to admit I am not a fan of Billy. I actually think his Taebo brand is a little cheesy. I would prefer something like P90x, something I wouldn’t look like a complete fool doing if someone walked in on me.
But there I am in front of the tv, and I’m sweating.
I bought the DVD from Walmart 2 nights ago, and popped it in immediately. I haven’t gone to the gym in quite some time, and I am running out of room in my room to workout. Plus its hard to be motivated with a bed in the corner of your room beckoning you to cop a squat.
I wanted something with structure. Something I could start and stop consistently with pace. So far its working.
Oh, the wedding I went to over last weekend was fantastic! My friends from DC came down and I was able to meet some new ones (which is always a plus). I wasn’t really feeling the 2 hour drives each way (I drove 4x), but it was well worth it.
Anyhow, this post is for the past 2 days. I will make another tonight. :)

No workout tonight. Really tired actually which isn’t normal for someone who is a self proclaimed night owl. However, I have been waking up at very early hours the past few days. I guess because there is a lot going on this week. Friends are coming into town, a wedding, and lawyer stuff.
Thats about all I have for now. Off to bed.

Good day today. Ran a mile, ate clean for the most part. But that’s not what made it good.
My brother came down to visit this week from Wisconsin, he’s not really my brother, but I don’t think blood could make us any closer. Anyhow, as happy as I was getting ready to go see him, I felt a little disappointed. I was hoping the next time he would see my I would blow his socks off with a physique transformation. I was really feeling all the backsliding in 2008 come into play.
As it turned out, his dad whos a truck driver, popped into town on his way to Miami. So it was a double surprise. I took my younger brother with me and we headed over to their family member’s house to hang out.
When we arrived my brother came out to meet us and gave one of the biggest longest hugs I’ve ever had. Then we headed in and I gave his dad a hug too. As we pulled away, he said (quite loud I might add) “Wow Rina, you lost some weight since the last I saw you!”
I immediately turned to my little brother in shock that he said it. The first thing that popped into my head was “What, you tryna call me fat?!” LOL But then I realized it was a MAJOR compliment and I thanked him and offered a huge half-embarrassed smile.
I guess the 30lbs I lost last year really did make a visual difference even if I didnt see it. After visiting I came home and jogged a mile on the tready.
I am feeling really great about the little I achieved last year. It was a downer falling off the wagon all the time, but since I kept at it, it has rewarded me. That I am thankful first to God and to everyone who has stuck with me too.
